Imagine graduating from an Ivy league school, living in a beautiful condo in DC, and having a stable career as a consultant for a big name company and then deciding your packing your bags, selling your condo, driving across state to California, and opening up your own gym?
Most wouldn’t agree with this decision.
Most would say someone is crazy to leave all that behind to risk opening a gym.
But when you have a burning desire and passion to do what you love, you will drop just about anything to pursue it.
And that’s exactly what Alex Hormozi did!
Alex Hormozi is the Co-CEO of Gym Launch, a consulting program that helps gym owners achieve personal and financial freedom with sustainable gym management processes.
Since launching in April 2016, Gym Launch has grossed more than $1 billion in sales and more than $30 million in annual revenue; led a team of 100 employees; impacted more than 1,500 small business owners; published an industry-leading book, Gym Launch Secrets; produced a weekly podcast featuring entrepreneurial insight; and launched “Prestige Labs,” a successful supplement system.

It’s funny how the word “Gangster” gets a bad rap… but in business context it’s an advantage.
Think about it, you can be extremely book smart but if you don’t have some street smarts in you, then you may be too smart for your own good.
As opposed to…
Having a gangster mindset in business leads to fighting when getting knocked down, good and controlled aggression, book smart, emotionally intelligent & resilient, outworking and anticipating your competitors next moves!
We had the great honor to sit down with the legendary Patrick Bet David and talked to him about being a gangster in business.

This must be one of the BIGGEST questions we get from fitness coaches and that’s “Do you have to have a GIGANTIC following to be a successful and wealthy fitness coach?”
There’s no black and white answer to this question, which makes it a great topic for discussion.
Its also a HUGE myth we hear a lot that “you have to have a GIGANTIC following to be a successful and wealthy fitness coach?”
Which that is flat out not true, and we are living proof of that with building and sustaining Dynamic Duo Training to a six-figure business.
We decided to tackle this question and myth and give our two cents regarding if you need a GIGANTIC following to be a successful and wealthy fitness coach.

I’m not going to lie…we got teary eyed in this conversation we had about being relentless.
The truth is, life and entrepreneurship aren’t easy.
Michael Jordan’s personal trainer, Tim Grover, said “be relentless in your belief…its about facing your fears, wanting more, and never settling.”
We’ve realized the past decade that in life and entrepreneurship…you have to be relentless in your pursuit because physical dominance is great but mental dominance makes you unstoppable.

We have a confession to make…
Last month, Chris and I drove to Palm Springs and locked ourselves in a condo for 4 days!
The reason being…
We had to get out of LA to focus on writing our second book “Rise of the Fit Pros.”
Writing a book is one of the most rewarding and awesome projects we’ve experienced!
But a lot goes into it that people don’t understand, such as:
We wrote our first book, “The New Era of Fitness” 2 years ago and boy oh boy did we learn a lot from that entire start to end experience of it.
This time around, when we were set to write our second book “Rise of the Fit Pros,” we knew exactly what to do from start to finish and wanted to document it all for you to help you save money, time collapse the learning curve, and learn the exact steps you can take to write a book.
IN THIS EPISODE, YOU WILL LEARN:
We’re big believers in sharing your story with the others since it leads to creating impact, inspiration, and motivation for others.
A couple of key pieces in your story are your struggles, your deepest pains, your rock bottom moments, and being authentic about sharing it with others.
Therefore, we had such an amazing and impacting conversation with the awesome Natalie Jill around all of this.
Natalie is known for her fitness influence, but she is so much more than that, she’s truly incredible with the mindset and personal growth work she has done on herself and has a ton of value and wisdom to share with the world.

Have you heard of the crab in a bucket story?
To sum it up… if you have a ton of crabs in one bucket and a crab is trying to get out of the bucket, they eventually will get pulled down by other crabs and never make it out of the bucket.
This is a great analogy for the people you surround yourselves with and your environment not wanting you to get to the next level, leave your hometown, accomplish your goals and dreams, etc.
This is why its so imperative to surround yourself with an influential tribe and build meaningful relationships so that you have a circle to uplift you through challenging times.
We had the pleasure to sit down with our mentor, Mike Zellar. He has been an influential part of our entrepreneurial journey and we have built a meaningful relationship the past couple of years with him.

{Quick story I want to share with you}
I remember when Chris and I first started our careers as fitness professionals a decade ago… we had such a closed mindset, we were scarce with investing in ourselves, and played small.
It took a lot of work, years, mentors, coaches, changing our environment, and ultimately wanting to play bigger and become wealthy fitness professionals.
I truly believe being a fitness pro is one of the best careers out there because we get to change people’s health and fitness which thus carries over to their careers, families, relationships, happiness, and more.
With us giving clients hope and confidence again, we strongly feel fitness professionals should make more money and be unapologetic about it.
So, you’re in for a treat with this episode where we dive deep into 3 of our top ways to make more money as an online trainer
IN THIS EPISODE, YOU WILL LEARN:
If you are a Fit Pro that wants to create more income, influence, impact, and independence, then tune into this one.
Do you agree with this saying…“What Got You to The Level You're at Now...
Will Not Get You to The Next Level You So Much Desire and Deserve?”
What I’ve learned is in any entrepreneurial route you decide to take, making an income and sustaining it isn’t as easy as everyone on social media claims it to be.
Being on this entrepreneurial route for close to a decade now, Chris and I fell prey to those that said there were:
If it were that easy, the billions of people in the world would all be doing this.
Now, that’s not to say that there aren’t other ways to go about growing your business and generating more income in smarter, faster, and strategical ways.
In this conversation we had, we talk about 5 ways to increase your income. These 5 ways had to come with a decade of experience, losing a lot of money, making a lot of money, investing in masterminds, coaches, etc.
Luckily for you, if you’re looking to take your business to the next level, you don’t have to make the same mistakes we made and these 5 ways to increase your income will help accelerate the process in your entrepreneurial journey.

Is it cool if I share a quick story with you?
When I first became a “Fit Pro” aka “Fitness Professional” over a decade ago, I thought I knew it all…SMH
I thought I was an awesome fitness coach (personal trainer and online fitness coach) and I even had the nerve to think I was a savvy businessman…My dear lawd!
I learned quickly that I was a very good fitness coach but a crappy businessman real fast.
I had to rewire my brain to be a “fitness marketer” first and then a “fitness coach.”
You see, too many fit pros have it the other way around and they end up losing a ton of business.
As a fit pro you need to learn how to…
Those are the 3 most important things to consider when becoming a fit pro and looking to create impact within the industry.
Sadly, these tactics aren’t taught through exercise science or nutrition classes or even personal training certification organizations.
Which makes absolutely no sense because in order to have a long-lasting and sustainable career as a fit pro, you need to learn how to master these 3 areas.
Luckily, you came to the right episode, as we dive deep into the top 3 ways to create a competitive advantage as a fit pro.

3 weeks ago, on my Birthday, I got the most valuable piece of advice I’ve gotten in a long time.
I had the honor to sit down with Grant Cardone and he said this to me:
“Be a Killer When it Comes to Closing Deals & Accomplishing your Goals in Life”
He went on to explain that too many people “just start things” but never awaken the KILLER INSTINCT inside of them and “finish the deal.”
I agree 100% because its easy to start things, but it’s a whole other animal to finish what you started.
I’ve asked 100’s of guests on our podcast this question “How do you get into your killer instinct mode?”
Because I want to know what makes them tick and get in that savage mode…like Michael Jordan did in the 4th quarter…like Tom Brady does with 2 minutes left.
Grants advice on awakening your killer instinct was some valuable advice that I will always remember and I wanted to share it with you.

Is it cool if I share a real story with you?
I kid you not, I said F$*K my health and fitness and almost gave up on it.
Back in 2013, when Chris and I competed in a bodybuilding show, we lost close to 50 pounds each, and post show, our hormones tanked, energy was down, confidence was low, and I wanted to quit on my health and fitness journey.
I thought to myself when I hit rock bottom in my fitness journey, is this all really worth it?
Luckily, I hired Eric Helms of 3DMJ, and he taught me the REF concept within exercise and nutrition.
REF means…Realistic, Enjoyable, and Flexible.
For the entrepreneur, busy professional, and high-performance business pro, time is always a factor when it comes to making health and fitness a priority.
You see, if you can’t find a diet and exercise program that’s realistic, enjoyable, and flexible around your goals, personal preferences, lifestyle, and schedule, then you quite simply, won’t ever achieve the health and fitness results you’re looking for.
Tune in as we go deep on the REF concept, talk about some examples within using REF, and of course, practical applications for you, the entrepreneur, busy professional, and high-performance business pro, so you can achieve the health and fitness results you’re looking for and perform at a higher level in business and your lifestyle.

I remember when I started hearing about UBER and LYFT, I was so stubborn and didn’t want to download the app.
Part of it was because I didn’t want to be like everyone else talking about it, using it, and following the latest trend.
But it wasn’t until I was stranded one night, I didn’t drive my car, my friends disappeared, it was too late to walk, and I wasn’t about to hitchhike…so I was forced to download the LYFT app, and the driver got me home safe and sound.
From there, I was using LYFT and UBER on the regular.
I’m telling you this story because I missed out on the HOTTEST trend due to my stubbornness and I don’t want you to do the same with the HOTTEST trend going on right now…
The HOTTEST trend on the market today is the rise of coworking spaces.
Think Wework, Spaces, and Blank Spaces, all amazing coworking spaces that are creating this HOT trend right now for small business owners, small companies, entrepreneurs, freelancers, etc.
These coworking spaces are cool, fun, innovative, social, and are changing the working environment game!
I’m excited to share with you this in-depth conversation: we had with the founder of Blank Spaces, Jerome Chang.
Jerome comes from an architectural background and is one savvy entrepreneur that’s helping change and impact the working environment with his amazing ideas within the Blank Spaces coworking spaces and community.
In This Episode, You Will Learn:
• How he went from an architect to building Blank Spaces coworking communities
• Why every entrepreneur or freelancer should consider hopping on this trend and join a coworking community
• The process Jerome went through to build six Blank Spaces locations in Southern California the past decade

Got a Serious question for ya…
DO YOU SUFFER FROM ANXIETY?
According to the ADAA (Anxiety and Depression Association of America), anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S., affecting 40 million adults in the United States age 18 and older, or 18.1% of the population every year.
Harvard Medical School recently published a letter that showed for many patients dealing with depression, anxiety, or stress, yoga may be a very appealing way to better manage symptoms.
Crazy stats, but it’s a serious thing going on in today’s society, and it could even get worse.
This is exactly why we sat down with “Action Jacquelyn,” who helps people overcome anxiety with her yoga practices.
Jacquelyn, also has an awesome story, as she used to be a Laker and Clipper girl, Ballerina, and suffered from anxiety and being disconnected.
